Overview

The SERIOUS | COFFEE Emilia is an advanced espresso machine that has been fully developed and built in the Netherlands. Equipped with a special self-developed brew group (patent application completed), we are able to approach the quality of a saturated group machine but with simpler and therefore more affordable technology. For the coffee brewing section, the boiler is linked to the brewing group, which, if properly adjusted, creates a very stable mass. Overall, you can assume that the machine has 2 boilers and several PID controllers for maximum temperature stability. Temperatures can be changed for and by the barista to use the optimal taste of each coffee type and to tune the correct steam power: temperature coffee water boiler and the power of the steam boiler.
The SERIOUS | COFFEE Emilia has a professional rotary pump that has a special suspension to further reduce the noise of this already quiet pump. Furthermore, the machine contains a heavily chromed brewing group, cool-touch steam and hot water taps, beautifully and solidly built in a directionally ground stainless steel housing. The top mounting of steam and hot water pipes ensures a large free stroke and thus more ease of use.
We have chosen to dimension the different key elements widely because this has great advantages for the overall performance of the machine. For example, you have a lot of power available, no less than 4400W. It is used in a dosed manner where it is most needed without overloading the grid, but can be used in the right place at peak times by a smart adjustment in the software. This software also ensures that when both boilers are on, they also heat up quickly. This and our own technical developments ensure that the machine heats up very quickly, 7-8 minutes, which is unprecedented in this class. If you only switch on the coffee maker, you can make coffee in less than 6 minutes. The peak power consumed by the machine can be adjusted by us if necessary to a more defensive value. The stainless steel coffee boiler has a volume of 1.1 liters, the brew group has a mass of 5 kg and the stainless steel hot water boiler is also almost 2 liters. The latter can be pressurized to a maximum of 2 bar if desired for steaming. The stainless steel for the boilers ensures less (copper) oxides in the water and is even more neutral in taste. The water tank has a capacity of approximately 3.5 liters.
It is one of the few machines that can also be used as a mini cooker. The hot water boiler can be turned on and off independently of the rest. The coffee-making area can also be switched on or off separately. The machine then heats up even faster. Of course they can also be switched on simultaneously.
The switches indicate the status of the machine by means of colored LEDs. Red during heating, green when the respective boiler is at temperature and blue when the water tank is empty.
Where possible, the machine is constructed from stainless steel. The machine is a combination of smart techniques and high-quality craftsmanship. A lot of attention has been paid to the construction and the choice of components for a long life, for example, the heating elements are made for us to our own specifications (stainless steel coil).
